Watching your children navigate their first relationships can bring up a lot of personal feelings and ideals. Yes, there are books and lectures and research and data and personal stories to help support your parenting during these major evolutions in your children’s (and your) lives.
Many of these are incredible resources to have in your back pocket, BUT if you were one of the many parents that quickly realized that every resource out there is riddled with information and advice that doesn’t pertain to your family, your beliefs or the exact instance you’re going through, then you’ll understand how important it is to have someone (or many someone’s) to listen to you when you’re scared you will fail, guide and educate you in the right places and support you when you are about to implement a new tactic.
