Conceiving, Pregnancy and Loss
Whatever your story is;
I’m here to support it. I’m here to celebrate it
What is a Full-Spectrum Doula?
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately.
As your full-spectrum doula, I wear a lot of hats. I am your emotional support, your guide, your resource list, your advocate and your safe space. My work (and my passion) is to ensure you feel knowledgeable, capable and well cared for from the moment we begin to work together.
PREGNANCY & DELIVERY
During pregnancy, we will gather multiple times prior to your edd (estimated due date) to discuss everything from the physiology of childbirth to your fears and frustrations around the processes, shifts in your relationships, and how to enter into labor feeling empowered. Each parent and family has different needs, so we remain flexible to what comes up and what needs to be addressed as your pregnancy progresses.
When birthing day comes, I provide physical and emotional support, guidance for any shifts that arise, sustenance to keep you hydrated and fed, an ear and a hug for partners navigating the wild experience of watching their loved one transform in front of them, and mostly a quiet presence that is meant to remind you of your own strength, capabilities and presence.
CONCEPTION
Sometimes conception takes time, which can feel scary and confusing. Other times, it needs the help of modern medicine, like IVF or is supported through IUI for LGBTQIA+ couples. The processes are different, but what remains the same is the benefit of steady support, access to resources and a continued care system. As a full-spectrum doula, my work is to support you as you process the emotions, educate you as progress and connect you to trusted resources that will ensure a safe, grounded and empowered conception path.
ABORTION & LOSS
Navigating both abortion and loss can feel completely overwhelming and under-supported, especially in our current climate. My job is to release the shame and guilt placed on you by outside sources, connect you to others that are experiencing similar scenarios, accompany you to appointments and ensure your safety and care.
Being that each scenario is different, my range of care is wide for these moments. Some folks just want someone there to hold their hand while they release at home, some want to work with me continuously as they go through the current process and move on to what’s next.
Most importantly, I want every person experiencing loss in any way to know they are loved, safe, cared for and not alone.

Love from my work <3
“I loved that we never felt rushed, every time <partner> and I would go off on a tangent & apologize, you went out of your way to say how much you appreciated us being open, honest and raw with you. It made me feel so comforted and we understood and that you were there to support us as a whole, not just through waters breaking and contractions.”
“You had a perfect balance of saying exactly what I needed to hear when I needed to hear it and you had a perfect way of reminding me to trust my body.”
“You were a godsend and absolutely made for this type of role. You were so supportive throughout and truly brought out inner strength and calmness that was so needed during this wild ride. I was terrified of the labor process and you helped me calm those fears and have an absolutely amazing birth.”
-Natalie E.
My first labor and birth experience was less than ideal. Although I came out of it feeling supported and was healthy and happy overall, I really wanted something different the second time around. I wanted a “redemption” birth. As a doula myself, the most important thing for me was to find someone that I trusted, vibed with, and that I could feel truly cared. I feel so lucky that things worked out the way they did because I couldn’t have been happier with having Sam as my Doula. She was extremely tuned in to my needs, she always said the things that I really needed to hear…even if it was uncomfortable, and most of all she LISTENED. She just listened to me talk and talk and talk about all the things that were consuming my mind. After our prenatal visits my husband was also excited to work with Sam and felt super comfortable with her. When the day came things progressed quickly but Sam provided the type of energy that I needed. There were times I just wanted a hug. I cried in her arms as we headed to the hospital feeling both excited and nervous. I felt a sense of relief knowing she was with me. I couldn’t be happier with my experience. I had the un-medicated birth I dreamed of and felt supported all the way through. I would recommend Sam to anyone. I just love her and her spirit.
